The trip!!!

Wow!!! what else can i say besides Wow!! i have just had the most amazing week!! I went to D.C. for the end of summer trip with my upward bound group and it was awsome!! i loved everything about it and i learned so darn much!! the group was amazing and i have some pretty great friends!!! even the bus rides from place to place were great!! I participated in the wreath ceremony and i got to help place on the tomb of the unknown soldiers!! I watched the changing of the gueard and those guys made me want to stand really tall and move like a robot! The plane ride was great!! i thought i was goingt o be scared and not like it but i wa only nervous for a little while at the beginning and then it was great!! the retrun trip, my second plane ride ever, was even better. i wasn't nervous at all and i loved looking out the window ans watching everything be so small and the road move so fast!! i had a great time with my roomates and i felt really comfortable witht all my friends!! I danced my butt of on the cruise ship. We went on The Spirit of Washington for a dinner and dance cruise on the patomic river. Even if i didn't know the songt hat came on i still danced along with it and loved it!! over all i had an amazing trip!! i will post some pictures soon!!

This is my Best Friend in the whole wide world!!! Her name is Brianne Mize and I love her from the most deepest depths of my heart filled to the tippy top and every crack and crevice. She is moving to Oklahoma and i am goignt o miss her so darn much!!!!! :,,((

I really like this quote. I found it off of my blog list in Maria's blog in Mega Life Quotes. It's so true and sends out a good message. it's just hard to do when sometimes your best friends happen to also be the ones that start the drama. It sucks when you can be really great friends with someone for a long time and then you get into a fight or something and then you have drama. Or it could just be that one week your laughing and hugging and the next week she tells you that you're really annoying and she hates you. it's a hard decision to make when one of the greatest things in your life happens to be dragging you down.

Christopher Anthony Bingham

This is a picture of my brother Christopher. This is a picture of me at about age 2-3. He is a year older than me but he has always been like my best friend.

When you are growing up it is easy to be friends with your siblings because you are together all the time.

My parents had us when they were young so we moved around alot when we were really little.We always had eachother though. We fought like brother and sister but every little kid does. But he was my best friend, and he still pretty much is.

He is seventeen and he lives in Missouri, which is fourteen hours away. He lives in a group home so all of our visits have to be scheduled and the staff there has to approve whether or not I am aloud to call him or not. Everytime I talk to my brother it makes me really sad and then i get pissed off that he is not here with me. The same thing happens to him so we are not aloud to talk sometimes.

It's always been that way.

We have always stood up for eachother and we are both very protective of eachother. I remember one time when a little boy called my brother a retard so i beat the hell out of him. I think i was like six or seven but i saw how bad it hurt his feelings and I didn't like it. and now that i am older he is always trying to protect me from boys. haha.

One of the biggest problems with him being so far away is that I can't be there to protect him. If someone is hurting him there is nothing I can do about it. Then he will go and get himself into trouble.

It just makes me so mad!!!

If anyone noticed I was crying on Wednesday it was because i had just gotten off the phone with my mom and i found out that the staff at Chris's place was being mean to him. So he fought back and now he he cannot come home for the weekend. It made me really sad because i miss him so much!! I even had to wait to write this blog until i got home because looking at all the pictures of us and writing about him and our memories makes me so sad!! I have so many good memories of Christopher but i cannot write them all because i will be here all day!

Racism doesn't really effect my life so much, but i know that it could. I have seen people get really angry for some things people say to them or about them for the color of the skin and some people just snuff it off like it doesn't even bother them.
I like this video because it's just funny and these people get along but they just act like they don't. And it's true and funny.

I love gummy bears! they are super delicious. when i was younger me and my brother would bite of the gummy bears heads and stick them to our foreheads. My sister likes to put hers on her pizza!! i tried it and it is super good!! i also love whipped cream on my pizza. i know it's weird but hey whatever!!

Black Eyed Peas Assault!!

Perez Hilton was supposedly beat up by Will.I.Am and the Black Eyed Peas manager outside a nightclub. He was talking crap about Fergie on his blog and supposedly that's why he thinks he was attacked. Will.I.Am and the manager, Polo Molina, said they were just being rushed by fans and Perez Hilton(real name Mario Lavandeira) just happened to get in the way. Molina turned himself into the police but no news on whether or not any charges will be made. Here is the link to read the story and more.

The majority of us here at upward bound stayed for the conference this weekend, and i am glad i was one of them! we had the most amazing time listening to the speakers, and the sessions, and especially the dance!! One of our speakers was Mike Donahue and man is that guy great at his job! He was really funny and down to earth so it was easy for us all to pay attention to him. he started to get into the serious stuff but we were still listening and he kept my attention the whole way through!! Some things he talked about were judging people at face value. It happens and it sucks. because honestly i don't know why you are who you are and it really isn't any of my business. I personally got to reflect on it because I can be really mean sometimes and really hurtful with my words when I'm upset or in an argument. R5, and i don't remember exactly how it was said, is more focused striving for your dreams then on staying away from drugs and alcohol. You need to have a clean, healthy body to be able to reach your full potential but R5 is happy to see kids with a dream. Another speaker we had was Carlos ~~~. He is a Trio achiever and Upward Bound graduate. He talked about all the good influences he had in his life and how he overcame his challenges to get where he is today and live his dream. He lives his life and takes leadership everyday by the Three R's and The Five B's. Read-for one half hour a day, Run-keeps your body and your mind straight and healthy, and Relationships-having someone their to lean on when times get tough and to celebrate your successes with. The five B's are "Be Brief Brother, Be Brief." He was a great speaker! Earlier that day we had all of our sessions to go to . You were given the choice from four break-out sessions. First i went to the one with Mr. Ragone. He has a Twenty-four year old son who was in a bad accident one morning when he was drinking and driving. It happened so fast and sudden that it could have just as easily been me or my family or Friends. The pictures We saw and the sadness in his voice made a good impression on me and I'm sure the room had a better realization of Drunken Driving. Right at the very end of that session Kelli passed out in class. we all thought she was just really tired but maybe it was something worse. but tough little Kelli came back for the rest of the conference. The next session i went to was Mrs. Courtney Lee's. She is the theatre teacher and a really cool person. Her lesson was mostly three things, owning up, gearing up, and powering up. She did really good with her demonstrations and all her video clips and games she had us do so we could better understand. One of the other sessions was taught by Mike Donahue, the motivational speaker from earlier that morning. I didn't go but some of my team did. i heard it was about our circle of trust and how you know how to trust and when is the right time to start trusting someone. Then we went to lunch!! We went to the monument to that day. All of us at WNCC have at least seen it in the distance or when were driving past it. All the out of town kids looked like they were having a pretty good time though! It was a nice day though and it felt good to be out in the sun! The blue van, which a bunch of us were in on the way up, overheated and it was kind of scary. but after that was all situated and we were back at the dorms getting ready for dinner, we were all hyped up about the dance! after the dinner was the dance and it was crazy-fun!!! We got Cassie out there and she did the worm backwards and it was super cool!! I was going crazy to the Eminem song!! And me and Drew got some crazy butt-dancing going on! I did my best to include everyone but there are just some people who don't like to dance. I dance even though i suck at it! It was really fun and i really liked it all! Can't say that enough! Sunday morning was the Quiz Bowl finals and award ceremony. It sucked we had to get up early because the dance lasted until eleven-thirty then my team had a "sleepover" in DD and Machi's room so we didn't go to bed until nearly Two thirty. Everyone did really well though and congrats on the trophies everyone!! We got to watch the two finalists for the impr0v contest and they were really funny!! I wish i could be that funny!! After the long first week and the long weekend it feels really good to be back home, even for just a few hours. So i Probably win for the longest blog entry!! This is a great song and great video. I'm loveing trying to figure out all the cool things i can do with my blogs. i have to be honest and admit that i wasn't to excited about this class when i first heard about it but after the first day i was excited. I'm glad that i get to be here and learn about this. it's not just blogging because i'm learning new things about computers and everything! it's great to be here. Props to Mr. Merrigan!

First Few Nights!!!

I have officially made it past my first few nights in Upward Bound Summer Program 2009!!!! This is my first summer and I'm excited to be here. I'm am on Cassie Cushins team(hope i spelled her name right.) and It's great. I'm making the best of it! My team is super-fun and all my friends I've made are amazing!! I am loving all my classes so far and I am looking forward to learning more and it all seems so interesting!! I'm sharing a room with Erin Gibson and I couldn't ask for a better roommate! Tonight is Tuesday night so that means were having team night. Some of the teams are going to the lake and some were talking about going to burger king or scotty's. Were going to play Rockband in Cassie's room. A few of my team is going to be gone for a while but it should be pretty fun anyways and we'll get to all spend time together! If anyone was wondering why I am being called Billi it's because Courtny Lee, the theater teacher, called me Billi the first day of her class and so now that is my new name!! There are too many Stephanie's anyway!!!
